Azerbaijani swimmers shine at Estonian open championships, securing 22 medals

Azerbaijani swimmers achieved remarkable success at the Estonian Open Swimming Championships, bringing home a total of 22 medals.

The competition, held in the city of Tartu, saw the participation of 285 athletes from 35 clubs across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, and Finland, Caliber.Az reports.

The Azerbaijani athletes consisted of 15 swimmers from the national team, who showcased exceptional performance throughout the tournament. The swimmers secured 7 gold, 13 silver, and 2 bronze medals, demonstrating their skill and determination at the international level.

Azerbaijani athlete Suleyman Ismayilzada not only claimed first place in the 1,500-meter freestyle event but also set a new Estonian record.
