Judo Federation praises Azerbaijan's efforts ahead of Baku Grand Slam
The President of the International Judo Federation (IJF), Marius Vizer, has expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan.
IJF Director of Education and Training Mohamed Meridja conveyed this message during the draw ceremony for the upcoming Grand Slam tournament in Baku, Caliber.Az reports citing AZERTAG.
Speaking on behalf of the IJF President, Meridja thanked the Azerbaijan Judo Federation and the tournament organizers for hosting this prestigious event. “The Grand Slam is not just an elite competition but also a celebration of team spirit, friendship, and the global judo community. This prestigious tournament brings together judokas from different countries, providing them with opportunities to connect and exchange experiences.”
The Baku Grand Slam tournament will take place at the National Gymnastics Arena from February 14 to 16, featuring 258 judokas from 36 countries competing for medals.
