Azerbaijani chess player secures second victory in Germany

The women's chess tournament in Augsburg, Germany, dedicated to International Women's Day, is currently underway, with Azerbaijan's Melek Ismail securing her second victory in the seventh round by defeating local player Lisa Schickmann.
In the first round, she faced Dutch player Machteld van Foreest, with the game ending in a draw, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
This win earned Ismail three points, placing her in 18th position in the standings.
The leader of the tournament is France's top-ranked Deimantė Daulytė-Cornette, who has accumulated an impressive 6.5 points.
Note that, in 2012 Melek Ismail has claimed silver medal at the European championship in Prague, Czechia.
