Azerbaijani PM discuss multifaceted cooperation with Astrakhan governor
Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov has met with the governor of Russia’s Astrakhan region Igor Babushkin, who is on a visit to Baku.
During the meeting on April 10, the parties hailed productive cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Astrakhan region, and the role of this cooperation in the development of Azerbaijani-Russian relations, according to Report.
Azerbaijan's prime minister praised a series of upcoming events in Astrakhan, which will mark the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
They also noted the importance of the "Caspian Sea of Friendship" motorbike rally, whose participants arrived in Azerbaijan.
In addition, Asadov and Babushikn discussed prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Astrakhan region in trade, economic, transport, transit and industrial spheres, including shipbuilding, as well as inter-port relations and humanitarian cooperation.
