Türkiye’s consul general completes mission in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan
The diplomatic tenure of Asip Kaya, Consul General of Türkiye in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan region, has come to an end, the consulate has announced in a post on Facebook.
Kaya said he will leave Nakhchivan on 17 September, Caliber.Az reports.
“I have carried out my duties in Nakhchivan with great pride for nearly four years. Nakhchivan is the only land link between Türkiye and brotherly Azerbaijan and was called the ‘Turkish Gate’ by the great leader Atatürk. I express my gratitude to the leadership of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, who have always supported us throughout my tenure, based on the principle of national leader Heydar Aliyev: ‘One nation, two states’,” he noted.
Kaya took up his duties on 15 December 2022.
