Azerbaijani president, Croatian premier mull multifaceted co-op UPDATED
On November 6, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met one-on-one with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic.
Following the one-on-one meeting, Ilham Aliyev and Andrej Plenkovic met in an expanded format with the participation of delegations, Caliber.Az reports, citing the presidential website.
The meeting discussed issues of expanding economic and trade ties between Azerbaijan and Croatia, cooperation in the energy, tourism and other sectors. The importance of holding a meeting of the intergovernmental commission as soon as possible and further developing relations between the business circles of the two countries in this context was emphasized.
At the negotiations, Croatia's intention to provide support to Azerbaijan in the field of mine clearance was positively assessed, and the importance of sharing experience and cooperation in this area was noted. The meeting also exchanged views on regional issues of mutual interest.
It was also emphasized that Croatia, as a member country of the European Union and NATO, always supports Azerbaijan’s cooperation with these structures.
