Azerbaijani president pledges continued efforts for regional peace during meeting with Zelenskyy PHOTO
On October 2, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Copenhagen, according to an official statement on the official website.
During the meeting, Zelenskyy congratulated Aliyev on the recent progress achieved in Washington on the peace agenda between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
In response, Aliyev described the steps taken to advance the peace process as historically significant and affirmed that Azerbaijan will continue its efforts to ensure lasting stability in the region.
The leaders also highlighted Azerbaijan’s humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, with particular attention to the welfare of Ukrainian children, a gesture for which the Ukrainian side expressed gratitude.
Discussions further covered cooperation in the energy sector, signalling continued dialogue between the two nations on regional development and strategic partnerships.
