Azerbaijani wrestler claims World Championship title

Azerbaijani athlete Farid Jabbarov (90 kg) grabbed gold at the U-20 World Beach Wrestling Championships in Constanta, Romania.

Zafar Aliyev (+90 kg) won silver and Rubail Ibrahimli (70 kg) won the bronze medal, Report says.

The Azerbaijani team, having won 68 points, became the second in the team rating, giving way only to the national team of the host country - Romania (95 points).

On September 1, the Azerbaijan U-17 national beach wrestling team including Huseyn Sevdimov (50 kg), Ziya Goyushov (60 kg), Vusal Aliyev (70 kg), and Anar Jafarli (80 kg) became world champions in both individual and team competitions.
