Bahrain intercepts hundreds of missiles, drones in ongoing Iranian attacks
The Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) announced that its air defence systems continue to successfully counter waves of hostile attacks linked to Iran, highlighting the “unwavering vigilance” of its personnel.
Since the start of hostilities, Bahraini air defences have intercepted and destroyed 153 ballistic missiles and 301 drones targeting the Kingdom, BNA reports.
“The exceptional combat readiness and vigilance demonstrated by our personnel continues to inspire confidence that the Kingdom’s skies remain secure,” the BDF’s General Command said, praising the sustained operational effectiveness of its forces.
The command also urged the public to exercise caution for personal safety, advising citizens and residents to avoid affected areas and suspicious objects, refrain from filming or photographing military operations or debris sites, avoid spreading unverified information, and consult only official government channels for updates, alerts, and advisories.
The statement condemned the use of ballistic missiles and drones against civilian areas and private property, describing the attacks as “a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter” and “a direct threat to regional peace and security.”
