Baku hosts 11th consular consultations between Azerbaijani & Russian Foreign Ministries
On June 25, Baku hosted the 11th consular consultations between the Azerbaijani and Russian Foreign Ministries.
The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Emil Safarov, head of the Consular Department of the Foreign Ministry, while the Russian delegation was headed by Alexei Klimov, director of the Consular Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, according to Caliber.Az, citing the Foreign Ministry.
During the consultations, both sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of consular cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia. They discussed the possibilities of signing bilateral documents and digitizing consular services, as well as the protection of citizens' rights and freedoms, and consular assistance. Emphasis was placed on the importance of joint measures to strengthen ties in areas such as justice, migration, and education.
A protocol was signed by the heads of the delegations of both countries following the talks.
