Baku to host European Rhythmic Gymnastics Cup

Baku was selected as the venue for hosting the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Cup for the first time in 2024 on the initiative of the European Gymnastics Union.

The programme of the competition, which will feature a new format, will include "cross-over performances" when gymnasts compete directly with each other based on a draw for the final after qualifying competitions, Report says.

The prize fund and rules for awarding the winners of the competition will be determined.

The European Cup will be open to all countries belonging to the International Gymnastics Federation. The Cup will host the final competitions in the all-around, team and individual programme. The competition will bring together both adult and young gymnasts.

The European Cup will be held at the National Gymnastics Arena from March 29 to 31, 2024.
