Azerbaijani MMA star triumphs in California tournament with technical knockout victory
Azerbaijani MMA fighter Mirali Huseynov has claimed victory in the title fight at the Urijah Faber's A1 Combat 27 tournament, held in Sacramento, California.
Huseynov defeated his Israeli opponent, Shimon Smotritsky, via technical knockout, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
This marks his 10th victory in his professional MMA career. Currently, Huseynov holds a record of 10-3-0.
Let's note that Huseynov trains at the American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) in the United States. He is known for his powerful strikes and aggressive fighting style. With this victory, the fighter successfully defended his welterweight championship title in A1 Combat.
Mirali Huseynov emphasised that his goal is to compete in the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) in the near future.
