Azerbaijan to host historic UFC Fight Night featuring MMA legends

UFC legends are gearing up to visit Baku for the first-ever UFC Fight Night in Azerbaijan, set to take place on June 21, 2025.

The event marks a historic moment for the country, bringing world-class mixed martial arts action to the Azerbaijani capital, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The highly anticipated event will feature UFC Hall of Famer and former middleweight champion, Michael Bisping, who will join an elite team of commentators. Bisping, alongside Brendan Fitzgerald and Paul Felder, will provide expert commentary throughout the night, offering insights into the action inside the Octagon.

Adding to the excitement, Bruce Buffer—one of the most iconic figures in UFC history—will serve as the official Octagon announcer, bringing his signature energy to the event. The main event promises a spectacular showdown between former UFC light heavyweight champion, Jamahal Hill, and former title contender, Khalil Rountree. 

The highly anticipated clash is expected to deliver high-paced action and potentially shift the landscape of the light heavyweight division. Also on the card is a thrilling lightweight match featuring Azerbaijan’s mixed martial artist (MMA) Rafael Fiziev, who will face off against MMA fighter Ignacio Bahamondes in what is expected to be a fast-paced, electrifying bout.
