Belarus leader reviews farming season progress from air
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has reviewed the progress of the country’s sowing campaign from the air, focusing on Minsk Oblast, BelTA reports.
Minsk Oblast has so far completed around 40% of its planned sowing work. The head of state assessed the overall situation and the quality of agricultural operations during a helicopter flight over the region.
According to the report, a series of major events dedicated to regional development remains on the president’s agenda. The operation of agricultural service enterprises across the country, as well as preparations of machinery and vehicles for field work, will be discussed in detail during an upcoming seminar-conference in Gomel Oblast, with the Mozyr enterprise used as an example.
The president is also expected to review the implementation of investment projects in selected districts involved in the state programme for the development of the Pripyat Polesie region for 2025–2030.
The outcomes of the visit to Gomel Oblast, along with previous reports and regional assessments, will contribute to shaping the agenda of another major upcoming event. Authorities plan to discuss the long-term development prospects of Belarusian regions at a government-level conference focused on the “One district – one project” initiative.
