Boiling water flood in Russia’s Vladivostok leaves two critically injured
Two people have been severely injured after a major heating pipeline burst caused widespread flooding with boiling water in Russia's Vladivostok.
The incident involved multiple ruptures in hot water pipes across the area. On Kalinina street, the damage led to a surge of scalding water that flowed through the roadway, inundating vehicles and public transport, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
Cars and buses were partially submerged, with some appearing to drift in the flood, as water levels in certain areas rose as high as vehicle hoods.
Authorities said two homeless individuals were caught in the flood and suffered severe burns covering more than 80 per cent of their bodies. They have been hospitalised in critical condition, and medical teams are working to save their lives.
