China hits back at NATO for "overstepping boundaries" in meddling Sino-Russian relations
China has accused NATO of exceeding its authority and unjustifiably meddling in the relationship between Russia and China, following concerns about NATO's potential appropriation of Chinese assets in Europe.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian voiced strong objections to NATO's actions, describing them as a blatant attempt to extend the alliance's influence beyond its remit and into areas of Sino-Russian relations, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
Lin stated that these actions demonstrate NATO’s eagerness to expand its reach, disrupt established international relations, and engage in bloc-based confrontations.
Lin highlighted that the relationship between Russia and China is grounded in principles of non-alignment, non-confrontation, and non-directiveness towards third parties.
He underscored that their economic cooperation is mutually beneficial and in the interest of both countries.
In response to the reports of NATO's potential appropriation of Chinese property in Europe, Lin denounced such interference as entirely unfounded. He stressed that any disruption of Sino-Russian cooperation under the pretext of a conflict with Russia is without merit and called for a resolute stance against such actions.
