CIS air defence forces start military exercises in Kazakhstan PHOTO

"Combat Commonwealth-2023" exercises with the joint air defence forces of the CIS countries have started in the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan.
The exercises have already involved the air defence forces, as well as combat crews of anti-aircraft missile systems, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the website of the Ministry of Defence of Kazakhstan.
Kyrgyzstan's military contingent has also joined the exercise. Air defence teams are firing the Pechora2BM missile system. It was designed to repel short- and medium-range attacks, as well as UAVs. The "active period" of the training will take place on September 14-15. It will be monitored by representatives of the defence ministries and troops of Russia, Armenia and Uzbekistan.
