Council of Europe ready to do its utmost for resumption of Azerbaijan-Armenia peace talks Secretary-General's statement
The Council of Europe is ready to do its utmost for the resumption of talks between Azerbaijan and Armenia and for establishing mutual trust.
Marija Pejcinovic-Buric, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, said this in her speech at the summer session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Report informs.
According to her, peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia can only be achieved as a result of negotiations between the leaders of the two countries.
"We made efforts to create mutual trust and dialogue between the two countries. A few weeks ago our high-ranking delegation visited Azerbaijan. In the coming days, our delegation will also visit Armenia. However, the most important thing is the resumption of negotiations between the two countries. Leaders of both countries must achieve peace," she stressed.
