Czech Republic, Azerbaijan to hold 6th joint commission meeting on cooperation

The Czech Republic expects the 6th meeting of the Joint Commission with Azerbaijan, focusing on economic, scientific, technical, and cultural cooperation, to take place in the near future, Petr Binhack, Deputy Director-General of the Energy Section at the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, said in an interview with Report.

Binhack indicated that priority areas for the upcoming meeting are likely to include energy, transport, and infrastructure development.

He emphasised that the session is intended to serve as an important platform for developing concrete project solutions and further strengthening economic ties between the two countries.

In addition, the Deputy Director-General noted that visits by high-ranking Czech government officials to Azerbaijan are expected.

"In addition, senior members of the Czech Government are expected to visit Azerbaijan, which should help to bring greater clarity and a longer-term vision to the development of cooperation between our two countries, including opportunities for Czech companies to engage in infrastructure and investment projects," he said.
