Azerbaijan commissions new military facilities for air defence units VIDEO

Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defence has commissioned nearly 20 new military infrastructure facilities for the country's air defence units as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the armed forces' capabilities.

According to the ministry, the leadership inspected the newly commissioned facilities, which have been built in various regions of the country and are intended to support the service and combat activities of military personnel, Caliber.Az reports.

The facilities include dining halls, kitchens, medical stations, accommodation quarters, armouries, utility rooms, bathing and sanitary facilities, boiler houses, water supply complexes and generators to ensure an uninterrupted electricity supply. The buildings have also been equipped with utility systems, communication networks and fire alarm systems.

The ministry said the infrastructure has been furnished with modern equipment, furniture and other essential items.

During the inspection, Defence Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov instructed the Air Combat Command to ensure the uninterrupted protection of Azerbaijan's airspace. He also called for the comprehensive study of the tactical and technical characteristics of newly introduced weapons and equipment during training and exercises, with particular emphasis on mastering their effective use under combat conditions.
