Azerbaijan showcases growing ties with Morocco at global diaspora forum

Azerbaijan participated as the guest of honour at the second edition of the International Forum of Moroccans of the World, highlighting the growing partnership between Baku and Rabat and the role of diaspora communities in strengthening international cooperation.

Representing Azerbaijan at the event, the Chargé d'Affaires at the embassy in Rabat, Tural Rasulov, underscored the strong friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Morocco during his address, as shared by the Ambassador to Morocco, Nazim Samad, via his official X account.

Rasulov also emphasized the important role played by diaspora communities in fostering closer ties between peoples, expanding cultural and economic exchanges, and promoting international cooperation.

The three-day forum, which kicked off August 2, was held in the northwestern Moroccan city of Larache under the theme "Moroccans of the World: Belonging to the Homeland and International Influence."

According to the organizers, the event serves as a platform for dialogue between Moroccans living abroad and their country of origin, while strengthening communication, reinforcing national identity and encouraging greater engagement from the Moroccan diaspora.

Organizers also described the forum as a strategic initiative aimed at consolidating the values of national identity and supporting the Kingdom of Morocco's territorial integrity through stronger engagement with Moroccan communities overseas.
