Drone attack on Russia's Voronezh region causes damage to infrastructure
Overnight, 27 Ukrainian drones were shot down over the Voronezh region, causing damage in several municipalities as debris from the unmanned aerial vehicles fell.
According to Governor Alexander Gusev, reported via Telegram, in the urban district, the roof of a gas station and a residential building were damaged. In one district, the windows and facade of a school, the facade of a low-rise building, the windows of a private house, and a power line sustained damage. In another district, three private houses, two outbuildings, and a garage were affected.
Gusev added that emergency services continue to operate at the affected sites, with damage assessments and repair work to follow.
The Russian Ministry of Defence confirmed that, in total, 116 fixed-wing Ukrainian drones have been destroyed over Russian territory. The night of December 6 saw Ukrainian attacks targeting ten regions.
Authorities emphasise that operational and repair efforts are ongoing to restore the affected infrastructure and ensure public safety.
