Envoy: Ukraine aims to deepen cooperation with Azerbaijan in 2026
Ukraine is seeking to deepen its comprehensive cooperation with Azerbaijan in 2026 through the implementation of joint projects across several strategic sectors, Ukraine’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Yuriy Husyev, has said.
In an article published to mark Ukraine’s Unity Day, Husyev outlined Kyiv’s priorities for bilateral cooperation, identifying energy, transport and logistics, and investment attraction as key areas. He also highlighted plans to expand collaboration in healthcare, education, and culture, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
According to the ambassador, further development of the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Azerbaijan is expected to contribute to stronger regional security, sustained economic growth, and the promotion of a rules-based international order founded on respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity, and international law.
Husyev noted that the partnership between the two countries plays a significant role in maintaining security, stability, and development in the wider Black Sea–Caspian region.
He added that active cooperation and mutual support between Baku and Kyiv within international organisations underscore the strategic character of their bilateral relations.
