EU releases €4.1 billion in Ukrainian aid from support fund
The European Commission has released another tranche of financial aid from the previously allocated European Support Fund for Ukraine after Kyiv fulfilled the latest set of EU requirements regarding "economic reforms" and amendments to national legislation.
Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denys Shymal confirmed that the new aid brings the total amount of macro-financial loans granted under this program in 2024 alone to €16.1 billion, Caliber.Az reported citing Ukrainian media.
The European Commission clarified that the decision to allocate these funds became possible after Kyiv fulfilled the latest set of requirements from Brussels regarding "economic reforms" and amendments to national legislation. These included measures related to business regulation, the labor market, the energy sector, and anti-corruption efforts.
