Five presidents, 10 Speakers to attend Iran president-elect's inauguration
A senior Iranian lawmaker has confirmed that the inauguration ceremony for President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian will be a notable event, with five current and former presidents and 10 parliament speakers expected to attend.
Mojtaba Yousefi, a member of the Iranian parliament’s presiding board, announced on July 22 that Pezeshkian’s swearing-in will take place at the parliament on July 30, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
This follows an endorsement ceremony on July 28, which will be attended by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei along with various government and military officials.
The official results from the Interior Ministry, released on July 6, confirm that Masoud Pezeshkian won the presidential election with 16,384,403 votes out of 30,530,157 in the runoff held on July 5.
