France sends first batch of AMX-10RC light tanks to Ukraine

France is sending the first batch of 14 AMX-10RC light tanks to Ukraine. Ukrainian crews have already passed the training program for these machines.

These 14 AMX-10RC light tanks are the first among dozens of copies that Western countries have promised to transfer to Ukraine, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing Forces Operations.

There are so many crews and leaders who have been trained in recent weeks at the Saumur Cavalry School, the cradle of the French armoured cavalry.

"The Ukrainian contingent sent to Maine and Loire consisted not only of specialists in armoured reconnaissance. This is enough to support the hypothesis of another potentially more "frontal" use of the respected machine by Ukrainian troops," the report says.
