German Defence Ministry defines “plan” for attacks on Russia part of military affairs
The German Defence Ministry (Bundeswehr) has said the so-called “plan” for a Russian attack on NATO, which was previously published by the German media, is an unlikely scenario.
The ministry emphasized that its consideration of all possible options, even if they are extremely unlikely, is daily work, especially during military exercises, Bild reports.
On January 15, the Bild newspaper stated that it had allegedly obtained a secret document from the Bundeswehr, which talks about the development of a plan for war with Russia by the Federal Republic of Germany.
According to him, the conflict could begin in 2025 after the defeat of Ukraine. The Russian Federation will allegedly transfer troops to Kaliningrad to attack the Suwalki corridor, and NATO will respond by sending 300,000 soldiers to the eastern flank.
The contents of the publication have already been commented on by the Federation Council. Senator Vladimir Dzhabarov considered the data published by Bild to be an attempt to stir up hype.
