Germany summons Russian ambassador over threats against Kyiv
Germany summoned Russia’s ambassador following renewed Russian strikes on Ukraine and warnings from Moscow urging foreign diplomats to leave Kyiv as soon as possible.
In a statement posted on X, the German Foreign Ministry accused Russia of escalating the conflict through intimidation and attacks on civilian infrastructure, Caliber.Az reports.

“Attacks on hospitals, schools and German TV studios, request that our embassy leave Kyiv: Russia is relying on threats, terror and escalation,” the ministry said, adding that the Russian ambassador had been called in for consultations.
“We made it clear to Russia today: We will not be intimidated by threats and will continue to strongly support Ukraine,” the statement added.
Berlin’s move came after Russian authorities announced plans for a new wave of what they described as “systematic strikes” targeting facilities allegedly linked to military activities in Kyiv.
Moscow also advised foreign nationals and diplomatic missions to leave the Ukrainian capital as soon as possible, further heightening tensions amid the ongoing conflict.
