A primary concern addressed during the meetings was maritime security in critical regional waterways, specifically the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait.
Motegi underscored the critical necessity of maintaining uninterrupted global supplies of crude oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG). He reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to supporting Persian Gulf nations in enhancing their broader economic and energy security infrastructure.
