Hamas executes six alleged Israel collaborators in Khan Yunis operation
A security wing affiliated with the Hamas forces in Gaza has claimed responsibility for the execution of six individuals accused of collaborating with Israel. The announcement was made by the “Rad’a” unit, a field arm of Gaza's internal resistance security forces, following a targeted operation in the Rafah Garage area of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.
In a statement released on July 27, the Rad’a unit said the individuals were part of a network allegedly led by a man identified as Yasser Abu Shabab. According to the statement, the operation included the destruction of a Toyota vehicle reportedly used for Israel’s “suspicious missions,” Caliber.Az reports via Palinfo.
The group described the killings as a retaliatory move following the assassinations of Palestinian resistance fighters and framed the action as part of a broader effort to prevent intelligence leaks.
The executions come against the backdrop of the ongoing war in Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023. According to local health authorities in Gaza, the conflict has resulted in more than 204,000 casualties, including large numbers of women and children, with over 9,000 people still missing. The humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate, with famine contributing to additional deaths and the United Nations warning of a near-total collapse of essential services in the territory.
