Helicopter crash in China’s Suzhou leaves one dead, four injured
A helicopter tragically crashed on May 2 in Wuzhong district, Suzhou, Jiangsu province in east China, resulting in one fatality and four injuries.
The accident, involving a Robinson R44 II helicopter, took place around 5 p.m. while the aircraft was returning from a flight, Caliber.Az reports via Chinese media.
According to local authorities, the helicopter crashed from an approximate height of 10 metres. One person on the ground was killed as a result of the crash, while the four individuals onboard the helicopter were injured. The injured crew members were immediately hospitalized, though authorities have confirmed that none are currently in life-threatening condition.
The local emergency management bureau has confirmed the details of the incident, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash. The inquiry is being conducted by the Jiangsu provincial civil aviation authority.
Authorities have pledged to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure that the causes of the crash are identified and appropriate measures are taken. The names of the victims and further details regarding the incident have not yet been released.
