US to open permanent embassy site in Jerusalem
Israel and the United States have signed an agreement allocating land for the construction of a permanent U.S. Embassy building in Jerusalem, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar announced.
In a post on X, Sa'ar said he signed the agreement together with U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, Caliber.Az reports.
According to the Israeli foreign minister, the agreement marks another step in strengthening bilateral ties and reflects the close strategic partnership between the two countries.

Sa'ar said U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to relocate the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem was among the most significant diplomatic decisions in recent history, arguing that it corrected a historical injustice. He added that the move had encouraged other countries to relocate, or consider relocating, their embassies to Jerusalem.
The foreign minister described the agreement as another milestone in what he called the unbreakable alliance between Israel and the United States. He said the United States remains an indispensable partner for Israel, while Israel is also important to U.S. interests in the Middle East.
Sa'ar added that both countries would continue working to strengthen their bilateral relationship.
