The highest active volcano in Eurasia - Klyuchevskaya Sopka is erupting in Kamchatka.
“The volcano is erupting up to 10 times per hour. Scientists expect lava and mud flows that will pass along the riverbeds,” TASS reports citing the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology of the Far East Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
According to the message, the eruption began at the top of the crater.
Some eruptions are visible above the volcano's edge, as its depth is about 200 metres. Scientists warn that the intensity of the eruption will increase.
