Hungarian PM slams Brussels as “Frankenstein” chasing its own agenda
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has said that the EU’s bureaucratic centre in Brussels ceased to act as a coordinator for the bloc and has instead become a “Frankenstein” pursuing its own interests.
“Brussels is no longer about coordinating member states,” he warned. “It has become a power center… a Frankenstein. It has its own empire, its own agenda,” Caliber.Az reports, citing Orban’s interview.
Orbán noted that as opposed to the original model, where powers remained with the EU member states, Brussels is increasingly seeking to centralise more authority. Brussels now views national identity as an enemy.
He particularly criticised the European Commission’s migration policy, emphasising that Hungary continues protecting its borders and preventing illegal entry.
