India may send more weapons to Armenia
India is contemplating additional military aid for Armenia.
According to the report, India is planning to send additional shipments which may include military equipment aimed at enhancing Armenia’s deterrence capabilities, Caliber.Az reports citing The Times of India.
The contracts are worth 20 billion rupees ($244.7 million).
The decision comes after the successful delivery of an initial batch of weaponry last year.
A high-ranking Armenian official has recently made a visit to New Delhi for discussions on this matter. The previous shipment sent by India to Armenia included a range of military equipment such as Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launchers, anti-tank missiles, rockets and ammunition.
The arms deliveries were made via a transport corridor through Iranian territory.
