Toshiba VP: Azerbaijan making major strides in digital innovation

Vice President of the Department of International Business Development, Security, and Automation at Japanese Toshiba Corporation Yuuichiro Ishibashi has said that Azerbaijan’s public is demonstrating a high level of awareness and engagement with emerging and digital technologies. 

Speaking at the First Europe and CIS Postal Leaders Forum in Baku, Ishibashi commended Azerbaijan’s advancements in the digital sector and highlighted the government's strategic commitment to digital transformation, Caliber.Az reports per local media. 

"I have learned that the Azerbaijani government has developed strategic documents focused on digitalisation and the digital economy," he stated. "In particular, public services are now delivered through digital platforms, offering citizens convenient and efficient access. This is a very important step forward."

Ishibashi also noted that Azerbaijan is undergoing rapid development and that the country’s growing interest in new technologies reflects its ambition to improve the quality of life for its citizens through innovation and smarter public services.
