Iran denies claims of US delegation visit amid rising tensions
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kan'ani has dismissed recent media reports regarding an American delegation's visit to Iran. He labeled claims from a Kuwaiti newspaper about the delegation’s visit as "baseless and not worth addressing."
Kan'ani also addressed reports about sending messages to Israel through Egypt, stating that "we do not need to communicate with a regime whose identity we do not recognize," Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
On the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, Kan'ani condemned US support for Israel, asserting, "the Zionist regime is the direct agent responsible for this crime, and those who support these acts should be prepared for the consequences."
Following the assassination of Haniyeh and his bodyguard in Tehran, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has stated with further details. The IRGC reported that the attack involved a short-range projectile with a 7-kilogram warhead and a strong explosion from outside Haniyeh’s residence. The statement declared that the Zionist regime and its American supporters would face severe retaliation for their actions.
