Iran launches drone strikes on Israel’s cyber, defence centres
The Iranian military conducted a series of drone strikes early morning of March 17 targeting multiple “important and strategic sites” in Israel, Tasnim News Agency reports.
The statement by the Army said the attacks were in response to recent incidents, including the deaths of Iranian servicemen and the Dena destroyer incident. Targets reportedly included technological and cyber centres, along with defence industry facilities, notably the Rafael Advanced Defense Systems.
The Iranian military emphasized that the strikes were focused on infrastructure linked to the development of military technologies and weapons systems. The Rafael complex oversees the production of Israel’s defensive systems, including the Iron Dome, as well as equipping and arming Israeli drone units.
The military added that the drone operation remains ongoing, underscoring Tehran’s continued offensive posture amid escalating regional tensions.
