Iran’s Chief of General Staff arrives at border with Azerbaijan

Maj-Gen Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, visited the border checkpoint on the border with Azerbaijan to check security.

According to the Tasnim news agency, Mohammad Bagheri visited military units in the city of Poldasht (Western Azerbaijan province) on the border with Nakhchivan and on the coast of the Araz River.

The chief of the General Staff checked the combat readiness of the personnel. Bagheri was accompanied by high-ranking officers of the Iranian army.
