Iran’s president calls for end to “aggression’ as only path to regional stability
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that a complete halt to what he described as aggression against Iran is the only way to restore stability in the region.
Speaking during a telephone conversation with António Costa, Pezeshkian stated that ending the conflict depends on the cessation of actions by the United States and Israel, adding that Iran has not sought to escalate tensions or engage in war, Caliber.Az reports per the statement from the Iranian president’s press service.
He said Tehran is willing to move toward ending the conflict under certain conditions, particularly if guarantees are provided to ensure that such actions are not repeated.
He also warned that any external involvement in the conflict, regardless of the justification, could lead to serious consequences.
Pezeshkian urged European countries to reconsider and adjust their policies toward Iran in light of the current situation.
