Iran tests latest anti-missile systems in aerial drills
Iranian Army has conducted successful military drills that tested certain Iranian the latest Khordad 15, Khordad 3, Majid and Dezfoul air defence systems.
The announcement came from Second Brigadier General Amir Abbas Farajpour, ISNA news agency reports.
Farajpour said a short-range air defence system known as “Dezfoul” had managed to detect and intercept the definite targets successfully.
“During the joint drills, we ran a simulation of cruise missile and guided drones attacks to assess the capabilities of Iranian missile systems known as “Majid” and “Dezfoul” at the low range and height,” he added.
Regarding other systems, “Khordad 15” is a medium-range air defence that has the capability of destroying a wide range of targets through high offensive capabilities, including reconnaissance aircraft, bombers and tactical fighters which can detect and intercept six targets.
Moreover, “Khordad 3” is equipped with radar and is capable of identifying four targets and firing eight missiles simultaneously.
During the exercise, Iranian forces conducted a simulated cruise missile and guided drone attack to assess the capabilities of Iran's Majid and Dezful short-range missile systems, he added.
