Iranian general: 3rd Khordad missile system designed to counter US forces PHOTO
Brigadier General Ali Balali, an advisor to Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC)'s Aerospace Division, has emphasised the strategic significance of the Iranian-made missile system, 3rd Khordad, in countering American forces.
He made such remarks in an exclusive interview with Fars News Agency, according to Caliber.Az.
Highlighting the operational capabilities of the 3rd Khordad missile system, Brigadier General Balali described it as a highly mobile and tactical system specifically engineered to neutralize enemy aircraft.
He noted that after successfully targeting enemy aircraft, the missile system can change its position and evade detection by adversaries.
Comparing the Iranian-made 3rd Khordad system with the Russian-made S-300 and S-400 missile systems, Brigadier General Balali underscored the difference in mobility and tactical deployment.
While the Russian systems require coordination among multiple accompanying vehicles and complex cabling to become operational, the 3rd Khordad system is designed for swift and independent deployment in various combat scenarios.
Brigadier General Balali emphasized the importance of continuously innovating and developing new weapons to counter evolving threats, particularly in the context of ongoing tensions with adversaries. He stated that Iran's engagement in a dynamic and evolving war domain necessitates the acquisition of advanced and effective weaponry to maintain a strategic advantage.
