Iranian strike damages power, water facilities in Kuwait
An Iranian strike has damaged a power plant and a water desalination facility in Kuwait, an official statement from the country’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy said.
The report noted the attack occurred at dawn on April 3, targeting critical infrastructure and causing material damage to parts of the facility, Caliber.Az reports.

Ministry spokesperson Fatima Hayat confirmed the incident, stating that “one of the power plants and desalination facilities was subjected to an attack as part of Iranian aggression against the State of Kuwait, resulting in material damage to some of the station’s facilities.”
She added that technical teams and emergency response units were immediately deployed to the site, operating in line with established emergency protocols. “Technical teams and emergency services immediately began work in accordance with approved emergency response plans,” Hayat said, noting that authorities are continuing to monitor the situation.
The ministry emphasized that the response is being carried out in full coordination with relevant security agencies to assess the extent of the damage and ensure the safety and continuity of essential services.
