Israel bombs Hezbollah’s Radwan forces camps in Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that its air force conducted airstrikes targeting Hezbollah's elite Radwan Unit in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, hitting military camps used for training and weapons storage.
According to a statement from the IDF’s press office, the strikes were carried out recently and focused on several Hezbollah positions identified as operational hubs for the group’s special forces, per Caliber.Az.
“Israeli Air Force jets struck multiple Hezbollah targets in the Bekaa region of Lebanon. The targeted sites included Radwan Forces camps, where militants and weapons depots were located,” the statement read.
The Israeli military said the camps were used to train fighters and prepare for operations against Israel.
“Hezbollah militants carried out weapons training and live-fire exercises at these sites as part of their operational readiness,” the IDF noted.
The army added that the group’s activities at the targeted locations, including the storage of weapons, constituted a flagrant violation of previous ceasefire agreements between Lebanon and Israel.
The Bekaa Valley has long served as a strategic stronghold for Hezbollah, providing proximity to both the Syrian border and central Lebanon.
