Kyrgyz fuel companies have signed agreements with China’s state-owned oil and gas company CNPC for the supply of fuels and lubricants.
The agreements were reached during a working visit to Urumqi by Erlist Akunbekov, deputy chairman of Kyrgyzstan’s Cabinet of Ministers and agriculture minister, Caliber.Az reports via Kyrgyz media.
The supplies are planned to be delivered through Kunlun Logistics, a CNPC logistics company specialising in the international transport of petroleum products and chemicals.
The two sides also agreed to co-ordinate government agencies to ensure uninterrupted deliveries. Kyrgyzstan’s Energy Ministry will oversee the projects, while the Transport Ministry and Customs Service will facilitate the passage of cargo through border checkpoints.
The Foreign Ministry will work to simplify visa procedures for drivers.
CNPC general director Luo Yizhou said the company was ready to expand cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, streamline customs procedures and take part in creating an energy corridor between the two countries.
