Israeli Air Force hits IRGC infrastructure in Tehran
The Israel Defence Forces said that overnight, the Israeli Air Force carried out a series of strikes in Tehran targeting key infrastructure belonging to what it described as the Iranian regime.
According to a statement released by the military, the operation was conducted on the basis of intelligence gathered by the IDF.
One of the strikes targeted a weapons research and development complex used by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The IDF said it struck an underground route within the facility where IRGC forces were conducting experiments and tests related to the development and production of ballistic missiles.
The complex was located within the grounds of the IRGC’s central military university, Imam Hussein University, which the Israeli military said also served as an emergency facility and a gathering point for operational activity.
In addition to that site, the Israeli Air Force struck infrastructure at the main headquarters of the Quds Force, as well as additional production facilities manufacturing various types of weapons and defence systems associated with the Iranian authorities.
“These strikes were carried out as part of efforts to deepen the damage inflicted on the main structures of the Iranian regime,” the IDF said in its statement.
