Istanbul to host extraordinary meeting of Organisation of Turkic States
An extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS) will be held in Istanbul on October 17.
The statement came from the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Anadolu Agency reports.
"During tomorrow's meeting, it is planned to discuss priority issues on the agenda of the OTS, including preparations for the summit of the Organisation, which will be held in Samarkand on November 11," the report says.
According to the ministry, along with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, the foreign ministers and other high-ranking representatives of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, as well as the observer countries of Hungary and Turkmenistan will take part in the meeting.
The last meeting of the OTS Council of Foreign Ministers was held online on January 11. The meeting was focused on discussions about Kazakhstan.
