Johnson: Ukraine must not be pressured into bad peace with Russia
The world should not force Ukraine to sign a "bad peace agreement" with Russia. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson expressed such an opinion on June, 6 Reuters reports referring to the press secretary of the head of the British government.
During a meeting of the British government on June, 6 Johnson pledged that Britain would remain at the "front line" of support for Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression, the spokesman said.
He said it was important that President Zelenskyy not be pressured into agreeing to a bad peace, noting that bad peace deals don't last long.
He said the world should avoid any outcome that would make Putin's unwarranted aggression seem justified," a spokesman for the British prime minister said.
Earlier, CNN said that allegedly the US, Europe and Britain are consulting on a "peace plan" to end the war with Russia.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to such rumours, saying that he was not participating in such negotiations.
