Kazakh airline launches direct flights to several Uzbek cities
Kazakhstan’s SCAT Airlines is introducing direct flights from Turkestan Hazret Sultan International Airport (HSIA) to three cities in Uzbekistan — Urgench, Bukhara, and Samarkand.
That flights on the Turkestan–Urgench–Turkestan route will begin on December 1, operating on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Uzbekistan Airports press service.
Direct flights on the Turkestan–Bukhara–Turkestan route are scheduled to start on December 2, running on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Regular services on the Turkestan–Samarkand–Turkestan route will commence on December 3, with flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
“Launch of new routes increases transport accessibility between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, making travel between cities in the region even more convenient,” the press service’s statement read.
One-way ticket prices for all routes start at $77.19.
This expansion contributes to Kazakhstan’s wider aviation strategy: the country has recently launched or announced new routes to multiple countries, highlighting a push to strengthen both tourism and business ties across Central Asia and beyond.
