Kuwait Airways suspends flights after airport attack
Kuwait Airways has suspended all flights until further notice following an attack on Kuwait International Airport involving drones and missiles, according to TASS.
The state-owned carrier said the decision was taken in coordination with the country’s civil aviation authorities as part of efforts to ensure safety.
“In light of the current circumstances, in order to comply with safety standards and in coordination with the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, Kuwait Airways announces the suspension of operations until further notice,” the airline said in a statement cited by regional media.
The airline added that its flight schedule would be revised, with passengers to be notified of updated departure times using the contact information provided at the time of booking.
The suspension follows reports that Kuwait International Airport was targeted in an attack by drones and missiles launched from Iran. The incident resulted in casualties, although further details on the number and condition of those affected were not immediately available
